Lenergy Pisa Secures Fourth Scudetto After Comeback Victory Over Sambenedettese
The Lenergy Pisa team has once again been crowned champions of Italy's Serie A Q8 beach soccer league. Under the guidance of Matteo Marrucci, the team achieved a remarkable comeback, defeating Sambenedettese 7-4. This victory marks their fourth Scudetto title and their second consecutive championship win.
In a packed Puntocuore Beach Arena in Scoglitti, Lenergy Pisa found themselves trailing by three goals midway through the second half. However, they demonstrated incredible resilience, staging a stunning comeback. In the final 12 minutes of the match, the black and blue club scored five goals to one, completely turning the tide of the game.
Pisa has been a dominant force in recent years, securing six titles and reaching as many finals over the past four years. From 2024 to the present, they have played in three consecutive finals, winning two (2026 and 2025) and losing only the 2024 final. Brazilian star Hulk was instrumental in today's victory, as he has been throughout the championship, scoring a goal. This was his 23rd goal of the season, making him the top scorer in the league. This is also his third consecutive championship title.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Serie A was awarded to Italian national player Luca Bertacca, who scored a hat-trick in the final match.
