Serie A Week 30: AC Milan vs. Torino – Official Line-ups and Match Preview
AC Milan faces a challenging Serie A Week 30 fixture against Torino, particularly with star forward Rafael Leão unavailable. Niclas Füllkrug is slated to start up front alongside Christian Pulisic, with Adrien Rabiot slotting into the midfield. Their opponents, Torino, appear invigorated under the guidance of new coach Roberto D'Aversa.
The match is scheduled for kick-off at San Siro at 17:00 GMT (18:00 CET).
The Rossoneri's aspirations for the Scudetto recently suffered a blow following a surprising defeat to Lazio. This result came after a vital derby win against Inter that had seemingly closed the gap on the league leaders, but now leaves Milan closer to fifth place than the top spot.
Further complicating matters, Rafael Leão is ruled out due to an adductor injury, reportedly sustained after expressing frustration during a substitution. He joins Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Matteo Gabbia on the injury list.
With Leão sidelined, Füllkrug will lead the attack alongside Pulisic. However, there's positive news as Santiago Gimenez makes his return to the squad, appearing on the bench for the first time since his ankle injury in October.
Adrien Rabiot is also back from suspension, reinforcing the midfield alongside Luka Modric, while Davide Bartesaghi returns from injury to deputize for Pervis Estupiñán.
Torino dismissed coach Marco Baroni after a dismal run of form and has experienced a revival since Roberto D'Aversa took the helm this month.
Under D'Aversa, the team has secured impressive victories against Lazio and Parma, with their only recent defeat being a narrow 2-1 loss to Napoli.
For this match, Torino will be without Zakaria Aboukhlal, Alieu Njie, and Zanos Savva. Their attack will feature Nikola Vlasic, Giovanni Simeone, and Duvan Zapata, with Che Adams and January signing Sandro Kulenovic available as substitutes.
In their last encounter in December, AC Milan secured a 3-2 victory in Turin, snapping a streak where they had only managed one point from their previous three matches against Torino.
